The Qatari-Cypriot relations culminated in the inauguration of embassies in the capitals of the two countries. The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus was opened in Qatar in 2004. The Embassy of the State of Qatar was inaugurated in 2007. It is witnessing a rapid and solid development in all fields especially in the field of reconstruction and gas, The State of Qatar and the Republic of Cyprus are working to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels in a way that serves the common objectives and interests of the two friendly countries.

The Cyprus-Cyprus relations are witnessing mutual and continuous visits, the most important of which are:

• His Highness the Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani visited the Republic of Cyprus in 2010. The visit resulted in the documentation and development of these relations, during which a number of important agreements were signed between the two countries.
• His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabor Al-Thani, then Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Republic of Cyprus in 2008.
• A delegation from Qatar Investment Authority visited the Republic of Cyprus in 2014.
• A delegation from Qatar Diar Company visited the Republic of Cyprus in 2014.
• The visit of the Qatar Petroleum delegation to the Republic of Cyprus in 2017.
• Cypriot Foreign Minister George Yakovo visited Qatar in 2004.
