- There are about 30 airlines that connect Cyprus directly to the European countries and the Middle East and the rest of the world.
- The traffic system in Cyprus follows the English system, namely driving cars, buses and all kinds of vehicles from the left side, in contrast to the European style by the way.
- The distances between the Cypriot cities are not far away.
- During the days of Sunday and public holidays are refueled using bank cards where there is no direct service and work 24 hours in all major cities and coastal.

Tourism in the Republic of Cyprus
Tourism in the Republic of Cyprus has a distinctive and attractive taste as the Cyprus Island is characterized by its beautiful beaches on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea and its green plains in spring, as well as exciting events such as skiing in the mountains of Troodos, diving, sailing ships, cruises and water sports.
The most important cities in the Republic of Cyprus are:
1. The Capital - Nicosia
Located in the center of the island, it is often referred to as "the last divided capital in Europe". The old city is famous of a street called “Ledra”, which contains a range of restaurants and shops. The largest shopping mall in the capital is (The Mall of Cyprus).
2. Limassol
Located in the far south of the island, it has the largest seaport; it’s famous of its beautiful beaches, as well as entertainments, restaurants and tourist attractions in the Limassol Corniche, as well as historical buildings and various archaeological sites. Its largest shopping mall is (My Mall). The largest carnival parade at the country is hosted in Limassol every spring in the presence of thousands of visitors.
3. Larnaca
Located in the southern coast of the island, it has the "Larnaca International Airport" which receives Qatar Airways daily, and has the second largest seaport and features with many distinctive beaches, especially the Mackenzie beach and Corniche. It is also famous of the mosque of the companion (Sahabieh) "Umm Haram Bint Malhan" near the famous salt lake which is flooded with water in winter and dried up in summer.
4. Paphos
Located in the southwest coast of the island and it’s the smallest city in Cyprus, it is the cultural capital of Cyprus, where UNESCO has been included Paphos in the World Heritage Sites list due to its archaeological features dating back to the 4th century BC. The most important archaeological site is "Tombs of kings" which located in large areas and carved out of solid rock underground, fixed with solid Grecian columns. The largest shopping mall in Paphos is (Kings Avenue Mall).
The most important tourist attractions are:
1. The beaches of AYIA NAPA, PROTARAS & CONOS BAY: in the eastern part of the island.
2. CAPE GREKO: In the southeast part of the island.
3. CALEDONIA FALLS: In Limassol - the forests of Troodos.
4. KORION KOURION - CURIUM ANCIENT THEATER: In Limassol.
5. PETRA TOU ROMIOU - BIRTH PLACE OF APHRODITE: in the southeast of Paphos.
6. Akamas Park National Park: in the far north-west of Cyprus.
