H.E. Ambassador Yousef Laram attended the briefing organized by the Office of the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Cyprus, delivered by Mr. Colin Stewart, Deputy Special Adviser and the Secretary-General’s Representative, on the current work of the UN in Cyprus

H.E. the Ambassador, H.E. Ambassador Abdallah Attari of Palestine, and H.E. Ambassador Quwaydir Ibrahim Quwaydir of Libya, met with H.E. Dr. Vasiliki Kassianidou, Deputy Minister of Culture of Cyprus, to coordinate the organization of the Arab Cultural Week in Cyprus in 2026.

H.E. Ambassador Laram received H.E. Mohammed Al-Nahdi, Ambassador of Oman, H.E. Mohammed Al-Shehhi, Ambassador of the UAE, and H.E. Fawaz Al-Shubaili, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, who affirmed the support of their countries’ leaderships, governments, and peoples for Qatar.

H.E the Ambassador Laram received H.E. Mr. Al-Kharafi, the Ambassador of Kuwait, who affirmed Kuwait’s full and unconditional support - its leadership, government, and people - for the leadership, government and people of the State of Qatar.

His Excellency Ambassador Yousef Sultan Laram attended the inauguration ceremony of the new building of the Libyan Consulate in Nicosia, with the participation of several Arab ambassadors and Cypriot officials.

H.E. the Ambassador met with H.E. Ms. Helena Mina, Director of the Crisis Management Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, where enhancing cooperation in the field of humanitarian and natural disaster crisis management and related issues were discussed.’

H.E. the Ambassador met with Mr. Andreas Mouzourides, President of the Cyprus Basketball Federation, at the Embassy. They discussed Qatar’s hosting of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 & Cyprus’ upcoming hosting of EuroBasket in August and ongoing preparations in both countries

H.E. the Ambassador visited the Anthropology Laboratory of the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus, where he met with the Greek Cypriot member Mr. Pantelides, the Turkish Cypriot member Mr. Müftüzade, and the Third Member representing the United Nations, Mr. Gentile

H.E. accepted Invest Cyprus' invitation to participate in a meeting entitled "Cyprus’ EU Presidency: Paving the Way for a Stronger Competitive Europe for Investments and Regional Cooperation" featuring a keynote address by Ms Marilena Raouna Deputy Minister for European Affairs

H.E the Ambassador participated in the second meeting of the Arab Ambassadors Council, held at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait. The meeting discussed developments in the Palestinian cause and the war on Gaza; and the Arab Cultural Week events and the joint action program.
