During his official visit to the Republic of Cyprus from 5 to 7 October 2025, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Transport of the State of Qatar, participated in a panel discussion at the Maritime Cyprus 2025 Conference.

The Minister of Transport of Qatar paid an official visit to Cyprus during which he met with the Cypriot Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, and the Deputy Minister of Shipping; and an MoU was signed to enhance cooperation in the fields of maritime transport.

H.E. Ambassador Yousef Sultan Laram attended the reception hosted by H.E. President Nikos Christodoulides on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Cyprus, and conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar.

H.E. the Ambassador received the heads of diplomatic missions of Palestine, Libya, the UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, & Syria, and the chargés d’affaires of Kuwait & Oman, in support and solidarity with Qatar following the brutal Israeli attack on its territories on 9/9/2025.

H.E. the Ambassador met with H.E Mr. Vasilis Palmas, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus, during a visit he made to the headquarters of the Cypriot Ministry of Defense. During the meeting, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest were discussed.

On 28/07/2025, the ambassador hosted H.E. Dr. Kombos, MFA of the Republic of Cyprus, for a luncheon attended by the accredited Arab ambassadors to the Republic, and as a farewell in honor of H.E. Claude El Hajal, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic & Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.

H.E. participated in a solidarity gathering at the Embassy of the State of Palestine, with several Arab ambassadors, human rights groups & journalists, supporting the people in Gaza and the West Bank, amid the blockade, daily attacks, and the escalation of settlement activities.
